Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

Disney on Ice

On Thursday night we took Connor to see Disney on Ice in Nashville. He was very excited, although until we got there he thought we were going to "Mickey's house" (a.k.a. Disney World). I kept telling him we were going to see Mickey on Ice but he still insisted we were going to his house and to see the "big castle". Despite the fact that we just went to the Sommet Ctr. to watch him skate around, he still had a great time! Although I will say that he got pretty bored when the princesses came out. They were out there for about 10 minutes and Connor said, "Mommy, lets get out of here." However, once Mickey and Minnie came back out it got his attention and he was happy to stay.
Sorry, this picture is a little out of order. Despite the look on Connors face he was really happy to be there. It is so hard to get smiles out of this little boy when you take the camera out.

"Hurry Daddy!"
The $20 souvenier. Yes, you heard right...$20 for a light stick that spins around.

This part of the show was very fitting...Connor immediately said that Mickey had the broom to clean up his messy house. Hysterical! (Mickeys house at WDW has a messy kitchen and Connor has not forgotten about it)

I wish I had this many brooms to help out at my house!
