Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

March

These pictures are out of order, but these are the things that we did in March...
Getting ready to plant our crops...Connor is planting his cherry tomato seeds, and flower seeds that Nonna and Grannie gave him. He had so much fun working on this and looks at them every day to see how much they have grown.

Pushing the seeds down in the soil

SEC Tournament in Nashville
On Thursday, Daddy, Connor, An Am and Uncle Pete went to the tournament. Mommy had to work since she had missed several days due to her and Connor's sickness. From what I hear, Connor really enjoyed the tournament and Fan Fare. He was really disappointed with Smokey though. Brad took him down to the lower level, and an usher tried to yell at Smokey to get his attention but he wouldn't look. Connor came home to tell me that, "Smokey, didn't pay attention to us. He doesn't like us very much." :( I think that Smokey must have been having a bad day. I went to the tourney the next day, while Connor got a day at Nonna and Grandy's. Smokey was much better than the day before according to Brad. We all had a great time! Thanks to Pop's for gettng the tickets. He was unable to come down since he had just been released from the hospital. He is feeling much better now!
Amanda wasn't wearing blue because she is a Wildcat fan...she didn't think she would be going to the game that day.
Connor, Uncle Pete, and Daddy hoopin' in up at Fan Fare!
Uncle Pete bought some popcorn for Connor and apparently he hammered it!
Later that weekend we went to Grannie and Pops house to help put up their dog fence. That night, Connor helped Grannie and An Am put Grannie's quilt together.
Nashville Zoo
We went to the zoo last Friday with Nonna. It was great to be outdoors in short sleeves and not need a jacket! We had a great time, even though some of the animals were too busy snoozing to pay attention to us.

Bouncing in the Jungle Gym
We also got a bad boo-boo in February. Mommy was cleaning out her car and Connor decided it was good idea to try to climb in the back hatch while Mommy was in the garage. He fell out head first onto the aggregate driveway. Luckily he didn't need stitches, but it was a pretty impressive battle wound.
