Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

November Happenings

My boys are getting so big! Connor is turning four in a few weeks and Braden is now 3 months! I am amazed at how much they have bonded, especially since Braden is so young. It is so obvious how much they love each other. Braden just watches and follows Connor across the room. I cant help but wonder what he must be thinking. Connor will lay beside Braden and just talk and talk to him. They laugh and talk to each other about every day. Every day I think about how I am one day closer to having my babies be grown up and having families of their own. It makes me sad because I love these days with the two of them being so young and innocent.

Here are some pictures of the two of them from November!

This picture describes Braden the best way I know how...always happy as can be!

This picture shows how content he is all the time. He will just sit in his swing and bouncy seat for hours just looking at his toys.
Brotherly love!
Connor is getting so big and loves being at the farm!
Connor and Braden watching Baby Einstein. I think Connor likes it about as much as Braden does! Ha!

Thompson Thanksgiving

Last Sunday we traveled to Rockwood to have Thanksgiving with the Thompson's. We had a great time visiting with the family...it had been too long. Grannie got Connor his very own Christmas tree to decorate and he had a blast! He got extra spoiled by everyone and got gifts for no reason all, even though his birthday is just a few weeks away. What a lucky little boy! Pops and Grannie couldn't believe how much Braden had grown. The weather was great once again and Connor really enjoyed getting to play by the lake, especially with his cousin Paisley! Of course we ate...again. Everything was so yummy! We are excited to see everyone in a few weeks for the Thompson family Christmas in Sevierville!

Placing the star...
Looks like a good conversation between Pops and Braden.
We always have to make time for some fishin'!
Connor painting his John Deere truck that An Am and Uncle Pete gave him. He loves crafts just like his Mommy!
Checking his mailbox...

The look on Braden's face and his bib says it all...Ha!

Neal Thanksgiving

Last Saturday we had Thanksgiving at Brett's house since him and Hillary were going to be gone on Thanksgiving day to visit her family in Memphis. We had Thanksgiving with the extended Neal family this Thursday but I forgot to take any pictures. :((( As you can see we had lots of yummy food and enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. It was a perfect day!

Braden at 7 months...I mean 7 weeks!

Amanda texted me this morning and reminded me that Braden wasn't 7 months yet...I really need some sleep! LOL!

Here are some pictures that I took a few weeks back of Braden at 7 weeks. I cant believe that he is 9 weeks today and we are going for his 2 month appointment tomorrow. Time is going by so fast! Braden is growing, growing, growing. He is already too big for this outfit that he has on in the picture. It seems like he only wears things once and then when I put them back on they are too small. He is such a precious child. Never makes a peep unless he is really hungry. As you can see though, he never goes without a meal. Ha!

Out of order...Dollywood with the family!

This post is very out of order but I realized just today that I hadn't included our Dollywood trip in with all of our other fall activities. Whew...we have been busy! We went to Dollywood at the beginning of the month with Grannie, Pops, and Uncle Pete. An Am was giving a housewarming party for a friend and was unable to join us. We missed her! The weather was perfect. I especially enjoyed it since the last time I was pretty pregnant and not able to do anything. Connor told me that I was allowed to ride the Veggie Tales roller coaster since Braden was out of my belly now. So sweet! Braden pretty much slept the entire time we were there. I had a great time when I wasn't in the nursing station...which was such a blessing by the way. We are so excited to be going back in December to see all of the Christmas lights and have some more fun with the fam!

Connor with his Uncle Pete...did I mention he lost a tooth? That is a whole other story!

I think Pops really enjoyed himself!
