Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

Connor is 1 month old

Yes, it is hard to believe that Connor was a month old yesterday! I cant believe how fast time is going by and how fast he is changing and growing. It makes me sad to think that he is only getting bigger. He is still eating every 2-3 hours, sometimes even more. He is starting to fill out more and can even wear some of his 3 month clothes.

We have started to get out more. Last weekend we even went to the mall! It was nice. Brad pushed him around in the stroller while I shopped in the stores. Connor didnt know what was going on, as he slept the whole time. He loves his carseat! Any time we need him to go to sleep, we put him in there. It seems to work most of the time. However, we have learned not to get him out and wake him up unless I am ready to feed him ASAP. He is always ready to eat right away. He is a great baby though and we are having fun at home together! I love to snuggle with him in the mornings. I usually feed him at 6:00 and put him in my bed next to me. He seems to like sleeping there. I only do this in the mornings though when Brad is up to go to work. I am a pretty quiet sleeper and don't move much, however Brad is NOT.

Hope everyone is doing well in the New Year! Bye for now...
