Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

Connor's 1st Cereal feeding

Here are some pictures of Connor's first cereal feeding on Friday night. Needless to say he wore most of it, but I think he enjoyed the different texture. He did extremely well and at the end he even opened his mouth when we touched the spoon to his lips! It was so much fun but very messy! All I have to say is that we will definitely use a vinyl bib next time. The cereal soaked all the way through to his shirt. We are going to try mixing it up a little thicker tonight.

I am also including some pictures of Connor playing in his exersaucer. He still has a little growing to do to be able to play in it just right. We put a couple of blankets at the bottom so he could touch and push with his feet. Connor is getting so strong in his legs and can stand for several seconds if he is propped up on something. It is amazing! We thought that we would try the exersaucer since he loves standing so much. He liked playing with all the new toys!
