Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

Home Sweet Home

Just since yesterday, alot of things have changed! We have taken our house off of the market because we got a call yesterday morning by our realtor telling us that the owners of the house we wanted got another offer. Go figure! We have been contemplating about this house for about a month now and they had no seriously interested buyers and no offers, plus the house had been on the market for about 50 days. We never would have thought that they would get another offer just 2 days after we had put our house on the market! We had 48 hours to decide if we wanted the house and we would have had 2 months to sell our house before closing, but in this market we weren't comfortable with the "chance" that we could get stuck with 2 mortgages. So we just decided to stay here for a while longer. We do like our house, but we know we will be needing a 4th bedroom before too much longer. However, we just dont think it was meant to be for us to have this house even though we LOVE it. On the flip side it is a little bit of a relief that we dont have to keep our house spotless and think of all of the improvements that needed to be done to the other house once we moved in. That was a little overwhelming for me to think about right now with a baby on the verge of being mobile! We know that something greater is in store for us, so we will patient and wait for God's perfect timing!

You all are so awesome to be patient to wait on God's timing. I am sure he will bless you richly for being obedient to His plans.

Isn't it awesome to know that even if you can't see it right now, and as much as you wanted the other house, God has something even bigger planned!!
