Thatcher's Story

Thatcher's Story
I didn't want this to get lost in my list of posts, so I am creating a place so that everyone can easily access this link. Please read this touching story about baby Thatcher, our friends son who was born with a rare liver disease and is in need of a liver transplant. Jessie has worked closely with Brad for over 4 years and I became friends with her while working at WSA until I left last spring. Thatcher was born a month before Braden and this story really hits home for me. When I look at Braden I think about how incredibly lucky I am. This could just as easily be our him going through this. Jessie will most likely be the living donor for Thatcher and they are in need of our prayers! I promise you will be touched by reading this story. Thanks!

Our weekend

Last weekend we went to Brett and Hillary's to have cookout, hang out, and see all of the changes at "their" new house. Brett has been there for a year and a half, but since the wedding I knew there would be some changes in the decor, etc. The house looks great, they have done such a good job decorating! We spent most of the day indoors since the heat this weekend was pretty bad to say the least. Mom made me a delicious CHOCOLATE cake, my favorite! It was a mix between an ice cream cake and a cheesecake. I told her she could give The Cheesecake Factory a run for their money. Brett has been saving us some deer steaks for a special occasion. I have to say that I was reluctant, but he wanted us to try it and it was very good! I dont even like steak but with the seasonings and bacon wrapped around it, it was pretty tasty. We had a good time and it was great to be able to just sit back and enjoy each others company. Thanks to all for my wonderful birthday gifts. I love them all!

Connor showing off his golf skills as soon as we got there.

Connors face is blurry in this picture, but I wanted to share anyways.

Look at that grin!

It was too hot to be outside!
